Medications to treat opioid use disorders and alcohol use disorders

House of Freedom uses the latest FDA-approved medications to treat opioid use disorders and alcohol use disorders. The combination of these medications with behavioral interventions and counseling have shown tremendous success among these populations.

After thorough medical assessments, person served can be placed on any of the following medications as part of their treatment plan:

Vivitrol (naltrexone for extended release injectable suspension): non-addictive, once-monthly treatment proven to prevent relapse in opioid dependent patients and help to reduce heavy drinking days in alcohol dependent patients when used with counseling following detoxification. VIVITROL acts to block opioid receptors in the brain while you work with the psychological aspects of counseling.
Oral Naltrexone: non-addictive opioid antagonist that blocks the effects of other narcotics. It is a pill that can be taken daily by mouth.

Buprenorphine: An opioid agonist/ antagonist that blocks other narcotics while reducing withdrawal risk. Medication can be taken daily by dissolving tablet, cheek film, or a 6-month implant under the skin.
